I mean, really...

So ... absolutely nothing alerted them to the danger
of this name....?

(Colliers) Would you believe it?

I went to visit a friend in Colliers Wood
on the weekend, and outside the station
saw their 'publicity' shots on a huge
notice board...

One of them is this ...

Stunning.

Nouvelle Vagueness

Walking from Brighton train station to the sea
front, I was intrigued by the promise of

"Things on toast"
What the deuce could they be?

I was also pleased by the need felt to put the
word "Breakfasts" in inverted commas. As if
it was in an episode of Friends where one of the
male characters is being "hilarious".

Holey Moley!

So I was walking home the other day and stopped to
answer my phone, and looked down at the road.
This is what I saw...

Slightly worrying then was that normal traffic was
driving over this non stop during my phone call..!

We don't need no education

I don't think I'll be going here to learn somehow...

However, it appears that my local shop might
well have...

Mmm. Delicious.

Double Whammy

They really didn't spend much time putting this
together, did they...?

So much for being "PC" - Part II

Just wrong on SO many levels

SOURCE: Hayley Myers, 2007

Illegal offerings

Surely if something's out of date it affords a slightly
better deal than this?? Hmm

Penny lane

I think I must have walked past this a hundred times
in Soho and never ever noticed it! How amazing!

That sinking feeling

... but it's ok to put as much as you want IN the sink??

So much for being "PC"

It's nice to see that in an age of everything being given
politically correct terminology, some things are overlooked...
and that old people have somewhere in East London to rave.

TFL public health and safety warning

It's not youths with knifes you need to watch
out for late at night it seems...

Toilet humour

Found in the toilet of a cafe... nice.

What a bargain!

Wow... was £10, now £10. Irresistible!

Sack the translator - Paris sign #1

Ok... so the first point you can perhaps forgive... "fell" rather than "feel"... then the sign just descends into ridicule.

Point three is my favourite as it makes absolutely no sense and beggars belief that this went to press and ended up on a pretty expensive 20ft board outside a restaurant in central Paris.

Oops.
